Congrats! I just checked out my frequent flyer miles and I am definitely good to go. First I need to hook up the Mrs. with a decent birthday/anniveral trip to earn some wifey points though.

Nice!! I'm planning to attend my first Road Rally this year too!!! I've been searching for more info. on the 2015 Rally and can't seem to find it online. Can someone please PM the details… (dates and hotel that this amazing event "so i've heard" ) will take place? Thanks!!!

Does the Westin have the "Taxi Road Rally" rate available yet? If so, what is the rate? Last year, it was $123/night. I have reserved flights for Sabrina and I, but haven't booked hotel yet. Just need to say more pennies!

Yes... at least I know for a single, that's still the rate (+ CA tax), for the Taxi member group discount.

Yes, the rate is available now. But you have to call the hotel directly and ask about it. They may have to find the right person for you to speak with. When I called, the regular reservations person didn't know how to handle it but connected me to someone who did. I guess that's because it's still so early.

fwiw: I had no problem once I mentioned that I was a member calling about the Taxi Road Rally music convention & group discount rate at the top of my conversation. Piece of cake.
(or, bacon, if you prefer. ... you know who you are....)
