Just watched a great TAXI TV with Chuck Henry. Great stuff & info Chuck. Also great info about the RALLY.

If you are going to bring some CD's to hand out, about how many should you bring? I plan to have material on my phone & iPad & cards with a link on it too but was wondering about the CD's. :)

i would say, probably no more than 15 (and that may be high). you'll probably be handing out tons of cards though. so make sure you've got a good stack of them.

I was thinking probably about that many. Yep, I’ll bring a ton of cards.

Thanks Chris :)

I was advised to bring 10 or 15 CDs to the rally and to be sure to have my music on Soundcloud or Box, and on my phone or iPad, and also to be sure to have the links on my business cards.

The most I've ever given away in the past 5 years is 10 CD's (and that was probably 5 years ago!). With the new submission guidelines for the ballroom, you don't even need CD's. So, if you've got some on hand 10 will more than do it.

I brought 30 last year and came home with 12. Almost every mentor at the luncheon table wanted a cd. And I did get contacted by a library just a couple months ago from one I handed out. So I am still bring 20 in addition to streaming etc..

See you there!

Hey DT
5-10 is plenty as CDs are becoming less and less the norm. And now 3 of the 4 listening panels will not use CDs.

That being said, if you are doing a mentor lunch add one CD for each mentor just in case. Many mentors will collect CDs from the table. I think that's around 6-8 per mentor lunch. If you do a 1:1 mentor session, you might leave a CD with your mentor.

There are a few Driver's Ed classes where the teacher will take (not always keep) CDs from the class to give feedback and use as a learning tool. But these can easily come out of your 5-10.

As you know, never try to force a CD on someone you meet. Get to know people and if someone asks YOU for a CD, then give them one.

See you there!

PS Make sure you read the Taxi emails about the rally! :!:

Submitting to the TAXI Listings below is the ONLY way to get your music heard during the following Grand Ballroom panels. The Panel Listing deadlines are TODAY, THURSDAY, and FRIDAY!

No CD players at One-to-One Mentor Sessions this year! Bring your music on a phone, tablet, or laptop!

PS Links to listings are in the email and they are under "Hard To Classify" in Taxi listings on the website. This applies to all the listening panels except the Happy Ending panel.

Thanks everyone. I’ve been reading all the rally info too. Based on that & the accumulated wisdom of all you here, I have clear thought on how to proceed.

U All ROCK & I look forward to actually meeting some of you at the Rally.
