Dear Road Rally 2nd Stage Open Mic-ers,Elizabeth & I want to thank all the talented people who performed at the 2nd Stage Open Mic, upstairs in the theater. We also wish to thank everyone who supported this great group of performers. It was quite a scene over the three nights; over 120 performances in total. The last night wrapped at around 2AM! It was crazy, musical and lots o' fun.The incredible Bose sound system made setup, doing sound, and packout easy, and it all sounded MAHVELOUS. We want to thank Mark Chipeur of Bose for providing the system (which he also did for a number of classes) as well as his expertise and help during the event. And let's not forget the TAXI members who helped us setup and teardown each night....thanks so much to all of you!The jams at the end of each night (Drift Away, Sweet Home Alabama and American Pie) were particularly cool. Possibly the most diverse cover band we've ever been in, with talent from a wide variety of genres, states and countries!Thank you to TAXI and Michael Laskow for the opportunity to do this.Keep in touch everybody...our door here in Colorado is always open!Love,--Neil and Elizabeth of PairadeuxOfficial Web site: www.pairadeux.comReverb Nation: www.reverbnation.com/pairadeuxFacebook: www.facebook.com/#/pages/Pairadeux/8126 ... ..1Twitter: www.twitter.com/pairadeuxMySpace: www.myspace.com/pairadeux

That was great to have another venue, I enjoyed watching the performances. Unfortunately couldn't hold out for my own showing after 1am! haha But thanks Neil for the inside scoop on the Beatles recordings Sunday night as I met a very enthusiastic fan, Russell, who was all too thrilled talking about it And Elizabeth, you have so much energy and excitement! Best wishes to you both!PS this is my first post ever and I've been signed up as a "Lurker" since June 8th 2005!!!

Elizabeth and Neil, you ran a great show! I enjoyed the tidbits of info between songs, the well engineered sound (that's a trick with different performers and no sound check fo each) and really loved the Bose system. Came home talking like mad about it. It looked like an easy setup. Was the board wireless? I didn't see a snake. Thanks for makin open mic an enjoyable experience fo someone who has to cohost one myself. I thought the performances were well done, too, the ones I saw.

I can't say enough about what a great job Elizabeth and Neil do with this each year. You guys are awesome! You are the best hosts in the world! The relaxed environment of the 2nd stage open mic is very special. Getting to see some of you perform was great! There is so much talent among you! Great job, my friends! I wish I could have seen more! I'm always torn because the joy of the dot lounge is always calling me.As a total non-performer with quite a bit of stage-fright in front of larger groups (campfires and small lobby jam sessions don't scare me, LOL), you've helped me enormously by providing this venue. My personal confidence has grown so much largely due to your efforts. One of the highlights of the rally for me was knowing I "just did it" -- wrote a song specifically for that type of venue and was able to get up on stage and perform it. Not that my music career goal has anything to do with performing... but just being more comfortable with myself goes a long way. Overcoming fears helps in ALL aspects of life.Last night I watched a video of my performance over and over (no, I don't think I'm posting it - don't ask) and while I cringed at some pitchy spots, I kept thinking... Wow, that's ME on stage. A definite Ted moment.... Thanks for the vid, Tricia! In the early hours of Sunday morning, on the shuttle to the airport, two ladies who I didn't know at all said to me "I saw you at the open mic... You're the 'Google Me' guy... Really enjoyed"... Priceless... Much love, Casey
