I just booked my flight and reserved my hotel room for the 2009 Rally! Woo hoo!!!! Can't wait to get to L.A. and see all my old and new forum friends!- Big Blue

I know!! I can hardly stand it.Although, I must say, I'm happy to see someone BESIDES me starting the "countdown" thread I've done for the past two years.It IS addicting, isn't it? I usually start counting down around the 6 month mark, but I was too busy with the move to Nashville.PLUS...I ALSO booked my flight today. wooHOO!!! And for the first time in 3 years, I've been able to pay for it myself, rather than begging friends to spend their Frequent Flier miles on my behalf. Things are definitely looking up.

My hotel is booked! Just gotta find the flight. Whoo hoo! Who'da thunk that from my first shy post less than a year ago that this year I'd be excited to see everyone and meet many others I've only chatted with! Can't wait to see you all!!

Room booked ----Check! Flights might be another story. Still have to see who all's coming with me this year. My oldest son starts college this fall and we don't know his schedule yet There are usually 4 or 5 of us, at least...and that ain't cheap Money is so tight that it's squeeking around here. Sure hope sales pick up before we have to buy tickets.

Well, I got hit by the same fever (ferver?) that seems to be spreading far and wide. I booked my "Rally" hotel room! [I panicked when I thought there were only 2 rooms left; I later realized the number "2" refered to step #2 in the registration process. ]I'm so looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Room booked from thursday to monday!I'm soo looking forward to my first road rally!This will also be my first time in America and I'm thinking about staying a few more days just to have a look around.Gotta add "DOT" to my packing list Thomas

I just booked my reservation at the rally hotel too. I'm stoked!!! This will be my first rally, and can't wait to meet some of the folks in person that I've been chatting with here and take it all in. I'm also watching flight prices for a bit to see if they drop some in the next few weeks. Per the ML's latest email, I'm using www.farecast.com (bing.com's travel search) and have set up alerts to send me emails as prices change. There's a nifty little trend predictor there like you see on other sites, but it also collects results from the online discount travel sites and the airline's sites in one, tidy spot. TPA to LAX today was around $325 1-stop/roundtrip on delta. That's quite a bit lower already from a few weeks ago. Anyway, I really like the interface on that site over some of the others I've used.Can't wait!

Boy, I can't wait to see all of YOU dots again! I booked my tickets a two months ago, and now tickets are $108 cheaper... sheesh ), but I don't care because I'm going to the Rally!!! And I'm so stoked-- I can't believe another year has nearly already gone by...And this year I'm giving my guest ticket to Fred from Freddy & The Freeloaders.
