Give it up for a few months, and you will have hotel and travel money. Room with someone and you only have to find 1/2 as much. Trust me, you'll never be in your room except to sleep - there will be tons to do. Whatever you can do, start working on it now, so that by rally time you have the money to get there.I just started a part time job so that I can earn the money I'll need to go because the rally is really that worth the effort.Someday I will get the music gig I want. Because of the rally, I know that gig exists. . I know that I'm not "there" yet for that particular gig. Because of the rally I know what that particular gig is and am going for it. Because of the rally I have forwards and an open submission situation with a good library / music broker. Because of the rally, I've learned that I have real talent that I did not ever believe in before, and just need to keep honing my skills. Because of the rally, I've learned that I have a knack for writing for a genre of music that I don't normally listen to. Because of the rally I have a whole group of friends that get me.Because of the rally, I know I can work on music 20 different ways as a career path if I'm willing to put the work into it. I can keep going on about the rally, but I will just say this: It is worth it. Start saving, shop for deals, and get yourself there. The economy sucks, but find a way to make extra cash - ebay the things around your house you don't need, clean your neighbors yard for cash, pet sit, find 10 hours of work at a convenience store - -whatever you have to do, do it if you are serious about your career. You can learn exactly where you are, where you want to go, and the steps you will need to get there. By the way, hi everyone See you all in a 6 months....

Me, too.I even went to my first (part-time) job interview today, just to make certain I'll have the $$ for the Rally. I should know if I vgot the position by Wed. And if it doesn't come through, just knowing that I've altered my headspace/thinking about the reasons for NOT waiting any longer to start looking for work simply means (to ME) that "MY" job is out there, waiting for me. Lost is SO great. It seems to be completely about metaphors for my own life... Anyone else feel like that?

i used to get lost alot... it was a wonderful place full of hope, optimism & dreams.... it was the place that made me feel 'full' and satisfied... ... now I have too much responsibilty to go to that place.. I try ... but the mind meanders back... and makes me feel guilty for even trying to go to that place.... Somethings wrong... Ugh!!! Sorry for the senseless wine... Attended a Northeast Fastener conference/Social this evening here in Ohio. I'm in the Distribution Industry..... Was mad after a few drinks,.. that I didnt hire a baby sitter to stay longer and make the most of it. I was enjoying my colleages company so much..... We work so dam hard together all the time, rarley taking time to exhale. Thats what tonight felt like.... an orgasmic exhale... Restored batteries of love & faith for what we do... I'm going to attend this freakin rally one way or another...... I need more Cowbell in my soul!

Chris, (Yammer)Well unfortunately our Carriage House is literally that....a Carriage House, and the only drinks here are BYOB Yes, Peter Frampton is here in Cincy, well technically Indian Hills, which is an upper scale neighborhood that calls itself a city. Can't say I've seen him, but he's so normal looking nowadays that I'd probably miss him.
