The red headed artist

I'm not sure where else to post this but I wanted to share this story. I missed the A&R panel where the red head (I don't remember her name) had her music played that generated so much interest. On Saturday night after the open mic session in the Grand Ballroom, my friends and I were still sitting there deciding what to do next. After about 10 minutes someone starts playing the piano and singing. I look up and see this red head at the piano and someone singing backup for her. One of my friends had been at the A&R panel and explained that she had generated interest. She ended up singing about 5 songs before the sound guys finally cut her off. She had such an amazing voice and her music was fantastic. She was singing for one of the A&R guys from the panel earlier. (I know which one, but wasn't sure if I should share or not). It's one thing to have a solid demo, but to be as solid as she was live was absolutely amazing. She nailed it - and I was there. (There were maybe 20 people in the room). The one down side that I saw was she apologized for one of the songs she sang before she even sang it. It usually had an electronica style track to it, but it stood on it's own the way she performed it. If she wouldn't have said anything we never would have known.Anyway, just a fun experience. I hope to hear her on the radio some day and be able to say - "I was at her audition"Trent
