This is my first Road Rally and I AM FREAKING OUT!
No real reason to, I know. But I just wanted to share,
Thanks!

Hi Wendy,
Just relax and enjoy the ride.
You will only meet wonderful people there who all share your passion.
Say hello if you see me...

I will.
I have gone over all the details that I know about.
It just feels huge - for whatever reason!
Take care,
Wendy

No need to freak out, unless that's a good kind of freak out like waiting for Christmas.
It will be awesome... so much energy and positivity. After you check in I suggest heading down to the bar area to mingle and make new friends/

After I check in, I'm meeting you!
I will be helping with the bags on Wednesday. Hopefully, also being a roadie during open mic. I'll know more on Monday.
Thanks for asking about volunteering in the forum. I saw your post and emailed Matt too.
I am reading bios and looking up people's profiles online. That way I'll know who I'm talking to during the mentoring sessions.
It's just been so long since I've been in LA. I know to catch the FlyAway to go from Union Station to the airport, then catch the hotel shuttle.
I've gone down my checklist twice. I should be OK.
Thanks for the encouragement.
Best,
Wendy Landers

"Stage fright is not a thing about 'Am I any good?' It's about 'Am I gonna be good tonight?' It's a right-now thing. It helps me. If I went out there thinkin', 'Eh, we'll go slaughter 'em,' I'm positive something would go seriously wrong." Gregg Allman
Awesome Wendy! Helping out on Wednesday will help calm some of the butterflies and you'll make a minimum of 2 more friends just by chatting while you stuff the bags.
I wish I could be there to help again this year but my schedule is preventing me...
I will be wearing my traditional Black Hat for the Rally and usually outside smoking with Al/Geir/Crawdad/Nick... rebels that we are!
Look forward to seeing you!
Cass

I'll bring Valium for you.
You'll be fine. Once you get there and start meeting fellow members, it will feel like you are with family you've known forever. Wear a dot on your badge so we'll recognize you as a forum person! Instant friends!!

OK, I will wear a dot on my Rally badge.
I will also be wearing T-Shirts that read "CAC" in large block letters. I work at Central Arizona College. I have three CAC t-shirts in different colors and one sweater with their logo.
I tried to upload a picture of myself to my profile but couldn't figure it out. Don't know why. When I'm there I'll get someone to show me.
Cass is right, this is stage fright, which is weird since I'm not performing. Hopefully I won't need the valium.
See you in a couple of days.
Best,
Wendy Landers

Don't worry Wendy it will be the first rally for many of us and it seems daunting to network on this scale. You're not alone.

I feel you! I'm physched, nervous, and excited all at the same time. Like Paulie said, it really does feel like a kid at Christmas vibe .

I will also make a dot on my badge (I'm assuming with a sharpie?) . Can't wait to meet you all officially!
