Hey folks

It will be my first time at the Rally this November. Flights (from UK) booked, Hotel booked.

One question, how does breakfast, lunch, dinner work there? I appreciate it won't be "inclusive" as part of our entry but wondering how it all slots together. I'm staying at the event hotel.

Cheers!

Rob

hey Rob,

Not sure how the rich folks do it, but for the budget minded there's a Subway down the block on the same side of the strip, Taco Bell across the street.

If you can spare more than $5 for a meal, the Thai place next to the Westin has great food for decent rates.

I suspect the rich folks take their meals at the hotel.

On that note, and before I forget, last year the restaurant thats inside the La Quinta fixed me the best club sandwich I've had in my life, and I think it was under ten bucks too.

Hope that helps!

Jay :)

Very close by...

Subway
Denny's (Many of us eat breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner there)
Thai place
Taco Bell (Eat at your own risk  )

The restaurant inside the Westin has excellent food but quite pricey. I recommend having at least 1 dinner there if you can.

In the morning, there's a coffee, bagels, muffins place in the lobby.

Not far away are some gas station convenience stores. I load up on bottled sodas & juices, cracker packs, protein bars, etc. and brink them back to my room. I usually have breakfast in my room as there is free coffee and a coffee maker in the room. So coffee and a protein bar is breakfast. I load up on the soda and juices because buying them at the hotel gift shop is much more expensive.

The bar is a great place to hang out in the evenings but drinks are very expensive. I don't drink so the soft drinks I got at the convenience store come in handy.

HTH!

I'll vouch for the Thai place. I ate there a few times. I took an Uber for In-n-Out one night but now that I'm in Austin I'm less desperate. :P

I'll probably hit up Denny's a few times. I didn't know that was there! You learn something every day.
