When it comes the road rally, it's important not to focus on "being discovered" but to focus on what you can learn and cultivating relationships. Most of those relationships will be with peers.
Some folks, when it comes to their mentor session, mentor lunch, A&R panels, etc., are looking at everything as their "big chance" for Mr. or Ms. Music Person to hear their music and give them instant success. Hey... If it happens great... But the most important thing is to learn and grow.
Your CD may very well not picked for a listening panel. Your 1:1 mentor will most likely not hear your music and say, "I must bring that CD to my label right away"...
Most of you already know this.
