Broke THE CURSE

Man I was starting to feel like I had been cursed by the songwriting Gods because of all of the returns lately BUT I just had two forwards so hopefully the curse is broken. I knew what this listing was for so it was kind of a big deal for me.ORIGINAL CLASSIC ROCK SONGS (with vocals - no instrumentals) are needed by the Music Supervisor of a major cable TV series. They’re looking for original songs that pay homage to artists such as The Beatles, the Kinks, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, the Who, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Crosby Stills & Nash, Cream, etc. These aren’t soundalikes for any particular song or artist, but should absolutely cause one to do a double take to see if they’re listening to “the real deal” or not. This series has utilized a few TAXI cover arrangements of popular songs from artists such as the ones referenced above, but original material is what’s needed now. The tone of the performances, the writing, the arrangements and the recording tone should be similar & in the range of the referenced artists. Male or female vocals are OK and all tempos are fine as well. Lyrics should be in a tone that might apply to one of the referenced artists - not too hip or contemporary, but quite close to the tone of the noted era. Great performances are absolutely essential. Broadcast quality needed - Great sounding home recordings are OK. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received by Noon PST on Friday, July 11, 2008. TAXI #D080711RKhere are the songs, some of you are probably sick of hearing 'em by now!http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... 1&stream=1
