Pop forward. What's typical for TV and Film?

I've had a couple of forwards on the same pop song and I've heard from one music library. Is it typical for libraries to rename a song and function esentially as the publisher for the renamed song while the writer(s) retains all righst to the original song by the original title? It caught me off guard but this is all new to me.Also, how do you get your taxi song link to post here for others to hear? I can only get the profile link. And finally, tell me if I ask something I shouldn't. Again, I'm green. Thanks!TVCool! Thank you, Walter. Here's the song. I'm not the vocalist, though. It's Terry White (I know I'll be asked because he's so amazing!) Jason Garner is the producer. I saw his name in another post about the Reach for the Moon song.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... tream=true

I use this link and than change the # according to your song. You can find the # if you look at your taxi website.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... am=trueThe re-naming seems to be normal. I'm also wondering how exactly the royalties will be connected with the original song.Walter

re-titling or derivative works is a business/contract modell. you have to take care about what the rest of the contract says - just because your song got re-titled doesn't necesarrily means that you're free to do whatever you want with your song under the original title - some restrict that so you can't give this song to another publisher/agent/library, some don't, some even just re-title your song because it's better marketable under a diffrent title.so go through the contract.
