Broke the Curse - 1st Forward for '08

Man, I was starting to get a complex. After an 11/0 start, FINALLY landed a forward... for:Quote:ALT ROCK/MODERN ROCK SONGS are sought after by the VP of A&R for an Independent record label looking for two more songs for a new band currently in production. Think along the lines of Nickelback and Matchbox Twenty. All tempos will be considered. Please submit 2-3 songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by Mar. 17, 2008. TAXI #S080317RKIt was a 50/50 split though. Hate Me Save Me was forwarded, but Skin was deemed close but not close enough.So... 12/1, still been a tough year. Some of the returns had been previously forwarded for very similar listings, but a few were pot shots that I hardly expected a forward for.Right now though, I don't give a flip about the 12, it's good to finally have a win again. I related before on this forum that just before the last Rally where I'm on a "Secret Sauce To Getting Forwarded" panel with our esteemed Matto, I get three returns in a row in a genre that I usually do pretty well in. That was a humbling event to be sure.

My friend...It amazes me that you might gage your year so far on that forward/return ratio. You have immeasurable reasons to be having one of the best and most pivotal years of your life. Forwards or NO forwards.Love you. TOTALLY believe in you AND your music.Congrats on yet another forward. Ted
