Trip Hop Forward, Trip Hop Return

Post by djdeweese » Tue Mar 25, 2008 2:41 pm

Hey Crew,Wanted to share one forward and one return, and one funny observation. (The listing was S080225EL for "A wide range of great ELECTRONICA/TRIP HOP SONGS & INSTRUMENTALS")Trippin' Down the Rabbit Hole was returnedDesert Trance was forwarded (but has already been licensed to a different music library in between the time I submitted it for this listing and the review). Now the observation: with one forward and one rejection, why was I more frustrated by the forward than elated by the forward?!? Today must be a cup-half-empty day, though I'm usually more of a cup-half-full guy. The solution? Get back to work and write some more forward-able tunes!Congrats to the others who got forwards on this one.

Congratulations DJ.Really like Trippin; Down the Rabbit hole. Nice idea with the vocals and all. Desert Trance is none too shabby either. It's great that there so much lateral diversity within this genre. I'm sure Tripin is gonna find a home. As you say, all we can do is continue writing.Oh yea BTW cool article on your latest success from Taxi on the Taxi newsletter today. Congratulations on that....very inspiring.Derek

Thanks Derek. re: the newsletter - it was strange to open my email and see my own silly face looking back at me. The moral of that story is to be aware of what you post online... the powers that be are paying attention.

Yeah, you're right about that one I-468! My cup is back to half full today, and I realized if I could get a 50% forward ratio on everything I do it would be pretty sweet. Thanks for the encouragement--
