Finally, my first forward after nine months with Taxi. Big thank you to 'crazyhooks johnny' who told me about this listing, which I apparently had not seen on the listing sheet.

MUSIC SUPERVISOR working on a really cool, new NETWORK TV SHOW needs CLASSIC FUNK INSTRUMENTALS that would appeal to fans of Sly & The Family Stone, War, James Brown, Funkadelic, Rick James, Average White Band, etc. He’s looking for Mid-to-Uptempo Instrumental Tracks that sound like they’re the real deal, played by real Funk bands of the era. It’s okay if your tracks are recorded using modern gear, but you’d be wise not to use synth sounds that don’t like they come from back in the day. That DOES NOT mean that you shouldn’t use great horn samples (for instance), just avoid synth pads or sounds that don’t sound authentic to the era. TAXI Tip: If you’ve got a Funk song with vocals, and you’re going to submit a mix minus vocal, you’d be really wise to have a melody instrument replace the vocal so it doesn’t sound like just a rhythm track! Groove, authenticity, solid song structure, and a great melody will help you nail this pitch. Full length Instrumental Tracks that are at least 2 minutes long are recommended. The estimated license fee for this placement is $3,000-$5,000. This is DIRECT-to-SUPERVISOR, so YOU WILL KEEP 100% of the license fee, with NO Publisher splits! You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright. Please do not copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a reference for tempo, texture, style, and overall tone. All tracks will be screened on a Yes/No basis, no full critiques. Please submit 1-3 tracks online or per CD, no later than 9:30AM (PDT) Thursday, April 18, 2013. TAXI #U130418FU
