King Casey and Prince Paul of Otten got one through for this listing. Our song, "Serendipity Smiles", got the forward. Awright! :D

You rock, Prince Paul! :P

MUSIC SUPERVISOR working on a huge TV show NEEDS down-to-mid tempo SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with MALE VOCALS. Your songs must be well crafted, with strong, memorable hooks in the stylistic ballpark of: “All Of My Days” by Alexi Murdoch http://bit.ly/b5r2A “Alien” by Cary Brothers http://bit.ly/ba9hbk “Let It Be Me” by Ray LaMontagne http://bit.ly/9dNS70 Your vocal performance must be TOP-NOTCH. They’re not looking for anything too dark, dreary, or depressing. Your song should have the vocal authority of a strong singer songwriter song, but have backing instrumentation by a band (or at least SOUNDS like it’s backed by a real band). Solo instrumentation, such as a piano, or a guitar, without additional instrumentation will NOT work. Quoting the Music Supervisor: “I need Singer/Songwriter songs that sound like a real band. This will be used as background source in a bar/restaurant, and will need to hold its own above all of the crowded room noise and dialogue. With that said, it also needs to be sophisticated. This should appeal more to adults 30+, rather than the Pitchfork hipsters. Think of a place where people would meet to talk after a long day of work.” They’re looking for current sounding artists and songs. They don’t want anything too loud or aggressive, or too young and Indie sounding. Keep your lyrics UNIVERSAL and PG-Rated. General themes about life, love, working, the day-to-day grind, etc., will all work for this pitch. The estimated license fee for this placement is $2,000-$3,000. This is a direct to Music Supervisor opportunity, so YOU WILL KEEP 100% of the money, with no Publishing splits. You must own and control 100% of your master and composition rights. Please do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists songs in any way, shape or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and overall vibe. Please do NOT submit songs with samples of any other works. Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No Basis. No full critiques. All submissions are due no later than 5:45PM (PDT) on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. TAXI #U130501SS

Can you describe the recording process on this one? Love what I'm hearing. I always want to know the recording "back story". Was it all recorded in one location? Across the country? File exchange?

Who played what? I know Paul is singing. :)

Hey Steven
Thanks... Paul can describe the recording process... Not my area. I rough out song ideas, make scratch recordings, give them to Paul and he does the rest... We email back and forth a few times on any changes we think are needed.

As Paul mentioned in Taxi TV's chat room the other day, he does all the recording at his home, a mansion ;) in Ohio. Everything you hear is Paul-- the playing, the singing, and virtual stuff, etc.

Best,
:D Casey
