HOW ABOUT THAT!!!! Forward for '70s Singer/Songwriter Songs!

I wrote this one over a year ago for a listing, and added the bridge part, and have been pitching and tweaking and pitching and tweaking (as a matter of fact I was tweaking a NEW mix of it again an hour before I found out about the forward.) I kept trying to pitch to indie folk listings, but I guess the STYLE of the song (which was used to emulate the a la) keeps getting it knocked back, and so '70's it is!

S130912SS ACOUSTIC-BASED, 1970s style SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS that have the timeless quality of songs by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, etc., are needed by the Owner of a Production Music Library pitching to a multitude of Film and TV opportunities. He's looking for songs that have an honest and genuine sounding vocal, with lyrics that are universal and engaging. Instrumentation can range from a solo guitar/vocal, to a more developed acoustic-based band sound.

Got some nice comments from the screener:
9's across the board

"Juliet, this is a really nice track. Great singing and overall vibe. The track really has a nice build and momentum. Could be a solid pitch for this listing. Forwarding. Congrats!"

YIPPEEE!!!!

I will have a newer mix in peer to peer VERY shortly for feedback (for road rally CD), to any of you who would be so kind....

The older version that got forwarded, is on my TAXI page:

Congrats Juliet! It's always nice when a song written for an old listing works for a new one. Hope it finds a home!

This is awesome. Every new lift is a wonderful surprise.
The multiple high harmonies made me think, "this is what a female version of CSNY would sound like"...
and I state that in the most complimentary of ways.
"Fresh" is another word that comes to mind. Really, really nice!
congrats.

Andy - Thanks, as always! Your opinion always means a lot to me. ;-)

squinch - thanks! If only it was just a old track that sat there and worked for a new pitch -but I've been constantly trying to make it better...hopefully a home oneday!

Peter (funsongs) - wow - thank you so much for everything you said. I never would have written anything quite like this, if it weren't for a TAXI listing over a year ago...it's been evolving over a long period of time!

PeterD - Thank you!

Stuart - Thank you!

Scott - yeah - the hands keep resurfacing! Hopefully oneday they'll find a home! Thank you!
