My First Forward!

Just when I was starting to lose hope :) I found out about this at the end of February, and strangely enough the TAXI e-mail was in my junk mail folder, even though their e-mails don't usually go there. This was an older song that was submitted to a somewhat specialized listing, they were looking for a 1960's style song. I wasn't sure this would even get forwarded because it was a more basic recording done in a Roland, years ago, but then again maybe it had a vintage sound. :) Anyway, it felt good to finally get a forward! :) Here's the song:

Here is the listing:
1960’s style, ACOUSTIC FOLK SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by an A-List Hollywood Music Supervisor for a NON-Exclusive placement in an upcoming Feature Film. He’s looking for original, well-performed Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic wheelhouse of artists like Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Judy Collins, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the timeless songs below to get in the ballpark of the sound and overall vibe he needs: “Song to Woody” by Bob Dylan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgRzkoScuF4 “Donna Donna” by Joan Baez: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1zBEWyBJb0 “In The Heat Of The Summer” by Phil Ochs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLhT8s6w7rU “Tomorrow Is A Long Time” by Judy Collins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bq1NXeQv1io Quoting the Music Supervisor: “I want songs that echo the Greenwich Village Folk revival scene of the 1960’s. Songs should be completely believable if heard alongside the greats of that era. Songs do NOT have to be recorded in the era. A great example of a current song that sounds like an authentic 1960’s Folk Song of the era is ‘Fare Thee Well’ by Oscar Isaac and Marcus Mumford, from the Coen Brothers movie Inside Llewyn Davis.” “Fare Thee Well” by by Oscar Isaac and Marcus Mumford https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQyPVBtLXk0 Please submit fairly stripped down acoustic guitar-based songs that sound like an authentic Folk artist of that era. Captivating melodies, a poignant vocal delivery, and lyrics that are NOT overtly political or too contemporary are recommended. The music needs to play a supporting role in this scene, and not distract the audience from the actors and dialog. Original songs only, NO COVERS!
