Shayne Green and I just got the nod on this one called Gator Stew. Thanks to screener 384! Here's the screener comments ...

"Awesome composition. The performance is top notch, and all the rests and breaks are great for television shows. The rhythm especially is really tight."

SWAMPY, BACKWOODS-STYLE, ACOUSTIC-BASED INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by the Creative Director of a world-class Music Library that’s nailed TONS of great placements in Film, TV, and Commercials. They’re on the hunt for Down-to-Mid-Tempo Cues that you’d hear on Hit Reality TV Shows like Duck Dynasty, American Hoggers, Swamp People, etc., etc., etc. Please review the following shows to get yourself in the rustic ballpark of the Cues they need: Duck Dynasty (0:43 - 1:10 and 1:30 – 1:50): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0MHPquKPgg American Hoggers (0:11 – 0:35): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1FBX7lf5O8 Swamp People (Start to Finish): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6NteKbbCN0 Your Cues should revolve around a central melodic theme with little-to-no intro, using acoustic-based instrumentation like Slide Dobro, Banjo, Fiddle, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Mandolin, etc., etc., etc. Your submissions should be relatively simple, and above all, backcountry sounding. Anything that’s obviously synthetic or MIDI-driven won’t work well for this pitch. All submissions should be at least 2 minutes long. Easy edit points and buttoned/stinger endings are highly encouraged. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll keep 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure your material is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit one to three Instrumental Cues online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI on a Yes/No basis and must be received no later than 4pm (PST), on Wednesday, February 11th, 2015. TAXI #U150211SC

Wow! That's awesome. It's a really great cue. I had two forwards for this listing. Just posted them.

Congrats to all...I had three that got forwarded. But I am greatly humbled hearing your fine work.

He's my conundrum...this is an exclusive listing. Given the loooong time frames that exist between forwards and acceptance, and given that these tracks could certainly be submitted for other listings, what's a poor songwriter to do? Just hang on indefinitely or in a reasonable amount of time, submit to other opportunities?

Here's my tunes...

Hi Joel - It's good to be humble but your submissions sound great!!! You've got the chops, why not just make some new songs for other opportunities?

Hey Joel, I agree with Larry and as the mantra goes here at Taxi ... write, submit, forget, repeat. Congrats on the forwards :)
