Have a good feeling about this forward

Post by JAMRecording » Fri Apr 03, 2015 1:32 pm

We put this song together pretty quick and got a forward right out of the gate. Hoping it pays off.

ALT ROCK SONGS with Male Vocals are needed by the Creative Director of an awesome, high-end Music Library for placements in Ads, TV shows, and Feature Films. They want kick-ass Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on the same playlist as acts with a darker edge like Black Veil Brides, Bullet for My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, etc., etc., etc. Give them driving songs with great guitar riffs, propulsive drums, rolling bass lines, and an engaging vocal performance that's full of bravado. Your vocal performance can have a bit of grit and growl to it, but they're NOT looking for a "cookie monster" type delivery. Universal lyrics that can work for a variety of scenes and scenarios will do best. Please avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, etc. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, texture, and tone. This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You'll split any sync fees 50/50 with the Publishing Company. You'll keep 100% of the Writer's share and the company will get 100% of the Publisher's share. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure your material is NOT already signed to any other Libraries or Catalogs. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright to pitch for this. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than Sunday, March 29, 2015. TAXI #Y150329AR

Thanks!

It's funny, this is the demo version of the song. We had planned on tracking live drums and what not, but it turned out good, despite it all being recorded "in the box" . Guitar mods, reason drums and all. We normally demo first, then re-record and mix. We still might redo it down the road sometime.

Very cool. Love the title! What did you use on the vocals for the distortion? It's got a cool smooth tone.

I didn't record this track. It was done at Peters house, where he usually does the roughs and demos. I'd guess he used a CLA Vox plug in for the distortion. I'll find out for sure.
