Not so sad that it was considered sad enough.....

Well, I get to add my announcement of a forward to the sad song listing. Do you think this says anything about our general state of mind? I sent in two tunes but only one was forwarded. The other was rejected for having too "religious" of a sound. This is my first attempt at a music link, I hope it works! http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=1Michael

Nice job!All the tracks submitted speak more to the nature of the listing than our collective state of mind ( unless we ARE all crying in the beers we drink in our cyber cafes!) I think this kind of listing is easier to write for than the ones with conflicting information in them. So, a lot of "on target" material got submited, and got forwarded. It'll be very interesting to see what gets signed. Good Luck to all involved!

mewman!Really good job. That's definitely sad alright. I think you & paults are right on both counts. There are alot of sad things going on in the world today, which makes it easy to write something of this nature. It's an easier mode to get into, I think, than say writing a children's tune or an orchestration, or any of the other genres we're trying to write for. Anyhow, congrats on the forward!ibanez468

Hey everybody, thanks for the congrats'! Paults, I completely agree with your comment about how much easier it is to submit to a category like this than, say, that one a few months ago that was 'about sex but not porn or too graphic'.... Although my statement, "Do you think this says anything about our general state of mind?" was said tongue in cheek, for the most part, I'm with you, Ibanez. It's not hard to put yourself in that particular state of mind these days.
