1990’s, EAST COAST Style HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a really large media company for placements in several projects, including hit cable TV shows, other shows on their own network, and online media. This rapidly growing industry giant is building its own Exclusive, In-House Music Library and will pay an initial buyout fee of $250 - $500 for 100% of the Composition and Master rights. On top of the per track fee, you will also keep 100% of the Writer’s share of the publishing and make applicable performance income. They’re looking for well-crafted, edgy, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Cues in the general stylistic wheelhouse of great ‘90s acts/artists like (but not limited to) Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, etc., etc., etc. Take a listen to the following references to get in the general ballpark of what they’re looking for: WARNING: Some of the following references have graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised. “Protect Ya Neck” by Wu-Tang Clan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0IUR4gkPIE “Survival of the Fittest” by Mobb Deep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9ZykEJuFrI “Gimme The Loot” by The Notorious B.I.G.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzvL4O3uomg “The World Is Yours” by Nas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_srvHOu75vM Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch. Give them rough-and-tough Hip-Hop Cues that have a believable ‘90s approach, edgy beats, and cool melodic hooks. Your submissions should feature a central melodic idea and build momentum by adding and subtracting different elements to add dynamics and interest as your Cues progress. Good edit points and buttoned endings are recommended. Give them Cues that will enhance various city-based scenes with a gritty, urban, and authentic “Street” kind of vibe. That’s what they’re after for this pitch! Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced acts/artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, tone, and vibe. Please do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This new, Exclusive, In-House Library will pay an initial buyout fee of $250 - $500 for 100% of the Composition and Master rights. On top of the per track fee, you will also keep 100% of the Writer’s share of the publishing and make applicable performance income. This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so the music you submit for this pitch CANNOT be signed with any other publishers or catalogs Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals Online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016. TAXI #U160803EH
