2 forwards for the same song

I have been joined to taxi for about 2 months now and i have had 2 songs rejected so far :(. I wrote "Pocket of sunshine" for an ad i see on here for a hotel advert but i missed the deadline lol!

Anyway, i decided to put this up for 2 different ads instead and i have been forwarded for both so i am very pleased right now. If the forwards do come to something then i guess i'll have taxi to thank for me writing the song in the first place, but either way, i'll keep aiming for that big hit. I hope u all like it too, here's the link if u would like to listen:

Good luck to everyone else who got forwarded for the same category/catagories.

Tammy :)

My review and 2 forwards below:

Listener ID # 398 - Hey Tammy. Really solid song you've got here. Love your voice. Soul and smooth. The lyrics are strong. The production is pretty good with the urban influence. The production has a timeless sort of throwback feel that I did. I'll forward this. Congrats! Best of luck.

CONTEMPORARY POP SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for $1,500, NON-Exclusive Placements by a Marketing Agency with a massive client list that's working on a major retailer's new ad campaign. Please submit Commercial-friendly, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could generally match the vibe of these references:"Send My Love" by Adele: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk4BbF7B29w"Lush Life" by Zara Larsson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD4HCZe-tew"Cheap Thrills" by Sia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYh-n7EOtMANOTE: Although these references they gave us are quite different, they're all catchy, current, and fresh. They are not looking for clones. These are just some examples of styles that could work! Please submit catchy songs that are well-crafted from start to finish, with a melodically, rhythmically, and vocally engaging approach. Your songs should sound like a believable Pop cut with mainstream appeal. Lyric themes can vary, but should be something that you'd expect to hear in current Pop music and has the positive vibe that works so well in Commercials. You'd be wise to avoid lyrical references to specific names, places, dates, times, and especially brands. Do not copy or rip off the referenced act or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated licensing fee will be $1,500 per track. No publishing splits! You will keep ownership of 100% of the Publishing and Master rights. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit to this pitch. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Thursday, September 22nd, 2016. TAXI #S160922PO

RHYTHMIC, CONTEMPORARY TOP-40 POP SONGS with Female Vocals are needed by a Music Licensing Company/Indie Label that specializes in placing artist-driven music in TV and film. They’re looking for compelling Mid-To-Up-Tempo Pop Songs that you’d expect to find on a chart or playlist with the references below (as well as other acts in that same vein): “Problem” by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iS1g8G_njx8 “Work From Home” by Fifth Harmony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GL9JoH4Sws “Me Too” by Megan Trainor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDRORgoZxZU Submit songs that instantly engage the listener with bright, catchy, melodic, rhythmic, and instrumental hooks (aka ear candy) throughout. Vocals should be rhythmic, polished, and ideally repeating a simple melody that builds towards the huge, captivating chorus/hook. Lyrics should be in the range of what you’d typically hear in a contemporary Pop song, but you’d be wise to avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Your songs should be full-length -- in the 3 to 4 minute ballpark. Good edit points and Non-Faded/Buttoned endings will work best for this pitch. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This Company offers an EXCLUSIVE 50/50 deal, with a one-year reversion, so please be sure the songs you pitch for this listing are NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. If they don’t place your song in 12 months, all rights go back to you! You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please submit one to three Instrumental online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Company - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016. TAXI #S160920RP

Hey Tammy,

you did a great job on the vox. I think we all go thru that feeling of "is it good enough" and just remember that the folks here are your friends, and the vibe is to help you and in doing so, help ourselves. Post some more material, have some fun.

best
