Forwards in New Genre for me (Urban Dramedy)!

Where's Edmond? He's always getting forwards in new genres....now I finally have some! I've never attempted Urban, Hop Hop or Dramedy in my life, not even in my personal work, but I searched the forums here as well as Google for examples, and then I fired up my pizzicato strings and had a lot of fun with these.

Only bummer is that I broke my winning streak.

My Taxi membership renewed in July and I've had a 100% forward rate until now. 15 for 15. Then for this listing, only 2 of the 3 were forwarded, so I broke my streak :( Oh well, I knew it wouldn't last forever.

The first 2 on this playlist were forwarded, but Ballerz Holler was returned - the screener said it sounded a little too dense for this listing. I can agree with that - I almost didn't submit it because I thought it had too much going on for the Dramedy genre (but since I'd never composed in this stye before I wanted to give it shot.)

URBAN-INFUENCED DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a successful NON-Exclusive Music Library for placements in an extremely popular Reality TV Show. They’re looking for a bunch of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Trap Instrumental Cues that would fit well on a playlist with the following references: “Basketball Wives Miami (1:43 – 1:58) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znWz812xuaA LA Hair (0:02 – 0:20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx6tF8k_j0g “Basketball Wives LA” (:00 - :22) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg8QoWxHioc Please give them well-crafted Dramedy Instrumental Cues with a noticeable Urban vibe, feel, and style. Be sure your production is solid, with contemporary sounding instrumentation. In other words, no dated or obvious pre-stocked synth sounds or drums. Build your Cues around a central melodic theme while adding and subtracting layers of instrumentation as they progress to add dynamics, interest, and forward movement. All submissions should be at about 1:30 long (give or take), with non-faded, buttoned endings. Do NOT copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a guide for texture, tone, and vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll split all upfront sync fees 50/50. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share. The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this pitch. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or on CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017. TAXI #Y170927UD

Thanks guys! I'm really sorry about the broken link - not sure what happened. It was originally a PRIVATE playlist (which I think means you need to be signed in to SoundCloud to view, but I don't know that for sure.)

Anyway, I've removed the PRIVATE and I've re-posted below - I hope this one works!

:D :D :D see your turn now Peter. Loving those cues, and congrats on the forwards (I guess the screener meant Tense, for Ballerz Holler, but really digging the sound textures you're having there, and probably my favorite out of the 3)

Hope to see you at the Rally
