Just got a forward for this tune. First time I've worked with my wife (she's the vocalist) in a minute which was a lot of fun!

OODY, SOULFUL SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for a $3,500, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music-Supervisor placements in a NEW TV Show on a Major Broadcast Network. They’re on the hunt for Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark and vibe of the following reference we got from the client! “Work” by Charlotte Day Wilson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z-HsbovI4E This Music Supervisor is looking for a soulful, moody song that could work as a replacement for “Work,” which is currently temped in this new TV show. They’re NOT looking for clones or sound-alikes! Having a strong, heartfelt vocal performance could help get the Supervisor’s attention for this request! Having a similar emotional feel, tempo and sonic texture could be helpful in elevating the scene’s emotion. There’s something almost Gospel feeling about the reference… maybe it’s the background vocals, maybe it’s the melody, maybe it’s the plaintive delivery of the lead vocal. It all adds up to a feeling and a mood, and we think that’s what you need to capture. They didn’t specify any lyric themes, but based on the reference, moody and introspective lyrics seem to be the order of the day. You’d be wise to avoid specific names, dates, times, brands, and profanity in your lyrics. It just makes it easier for a Music Supervisor to use it!

Thanks Lester! I spent a lot of time debating where the vocals should sit in the mix and how processed they should be so I'm glad you noticed.
