TWO, ORIGINAL, JAZZ TRIO INSTRUMENTALS are U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needed by TOMORROW, (TUESDAY) JULY 17th (11:59 pm PDT) for two (up-to) $2,000 (each), Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placements in a very cool, very popular TV Series. They’re on a pretty frantic quest to QUICKLY find TWO, Mid-Tempo Jazz Instrumentals that are in the stylistic ballpark of the references below: “Fenwyck's Farfel” by Vince Guaraldi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLo43Bv2UKI Note from the Music Supervisor: “Something that captures the mood of a cool Jazz club vibe with some slinky guitar, piano, and upright bass could work well for this. This song needs to be at least 2-3 minutes.” “S.K.J.” by Wes Montgomery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz1rJL_twWg Note from the Music Supervisor: “A piece that features guitar, vibraphone and piano would work well from a sonic and mood perspective in this scene, especially if it has sort of a cool vibe. Nothing “outside” for this pitch, please. This song needs to be at least 3 minutes in length.” IMPORTANT NOTE: The Supervisor is looking for material that captures the essence and spirit of the style of the references, but we need to be clear that he/she is NOT looking for clones or copies of that music. Feel, vibe, and tempo can be in the stylistic ballpark, but that’s it! Please send in original, authentic-sounding Jazz Instrumentals with solid musicianship that sounds like real humans playing real instruments, even if you’re using Virtual Instruments. You should also keep anything that sounds stiff or obviously MIDI-driven or quantized on the shelf. They’re not looking for material that sounds “kind of like” Jazz. They want the real deal! Again, do NOT copy the referenced material in any way shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed. The estimated license fee for this use is up to $2,000, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll get 100% of the sync fee, you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership, and you’ll also get 100% of any applicable performance royalties. No Publisher splits! You must own or control the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many pieces as you’d like, online or per CD. All Submissions will be judged on their “usability factor” by the Screener, who has been handpicked by the Music Supervisor, and who will be judging based on his “gut” - Short Critiques only. There can NOT be ANY EXTENSIONS of the deadline for this Listing, not even by a minute, sorry folks! Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018.
