EPIC, MIDDLE EASTERN-Style TRAILER INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an International Music Library with worldwide distribution through Universal! They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals in the general stylistic wheelhouse of music heard in Trailers like:
BEIRUT | Official Trailer
Dajjal The Slayer and His Followers
TAXI TIP: For this request, try going outside the box a bit by replacing brass hits with a Zorna, or replacing Timpani or Taiko drums with a Daf and/or a Tar drum, etc. Think big and epic Hollywood Trailer tracks, but with Arabic Scales and Middle Eastern instrumentation!
Please submit well-composed Trailer-Style Instrumentals that have a clear Middle Eastern sound. The structure of your Instrumental should follow a typical film trailer model, with three distinct acts that crescendo to a big, climactic, Stinger-style ending. Your submissions can have some standard Hollywood Trailer instrumentation like big string sections, dramatic drum hits, and sound design elements, but you should maintain a Middle Eastern sound, feel, and style throughout.
NOTE: Your Submissions can also have some non-lyrical, Middle Eastern-sounding vocalizations. That’s not a requisite… just a suggestion.
Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes long, give or take. Great edit points and crescendos that lead to Buttoned/Stinger endings are strongly encouraged. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumentals you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Sunday, March 24th, 2019. TAXI #Y190324MT
