Hello All-
I am new to Taxi and just got two songs forwarded. What happens after a forward? How long before you hear anything, if you do? Thanks!

Hi SBorowski,

A forward just means your song was sent to the person that initiated the listing with taxi... usually either a music library or a music supervisor. If they feel so inclined, they will reach out to you about your song(s). (usually via email, but sometimes via phone)

It's good to remember that IF they decide to contact you, there can be a large window of time in which this happens. Sometimes it's very quick, sometimes it's a few weeks, other people have waited close to 6 months or even longer to receive contact from a forward. There are lots of factors involved, so it's best not to sit on your hands waiting for someone to contact you.

Best thing you can do is write more music, and keep submitting and getting more forwards. The more forwards you get, the better chance you have of someone contacting you with some kind of deal! Creating more songs also prepares you for if and when someone likes your song and they ask if you have any more. It's quite common that libraries sign more songs than just the one forwarded, if you have them available.

Hope that helps a bit. Big congrats on the forwards! :)

Andrew
