UPDATE: I woke up to an email and a contract from a publisher this morning and this going to be my first signing.

The summary of the deal is a Non-Exclusive, 50/50 split on everything. Is is this a normal split for a company to be pitching your track for commercials, movies etc?

Excited to say that I got 1 of 2 tracks forwarded to a music publisher for this Future Bass/Electronic Trap listing.

I'm really hopeful that I hear back on this one!



INSTRUMENTAL-Centric FUTURE BASS or ELECTRONIC TRAP SONGS with "Hooky" NON-LYRICAL VOCAL PARTS are needed by a very busy Music Library.

Please listen to the following references they gave us to get yourself in the general stylistic wheelhouse of what they’re looking for:

“Tell Me” by RL Grime & What So Not

“Bad Karma” by Axel Thesleff

“Mmmm” by TroyBoi

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please listen closely to the references as they are NOT looking for full songs or Instrumentals that are purely instrumental. They ARE looking for Instrumental tracks with minimal, sparse lyrics (Male or Female Vocals) that are not in a traditional song structure.

Please submit rhythmic, Instrumental-driven Future Bass and/or Electronic Trap Songs that have catchy Non-Lyrical Vocal Parts. Your submissions should have contemporary electronic elements and genre-appropriate instrumentation. Your productions should be modern and innovative, with plenty of great Electronic “ear candy.”

Congrats. Yep sounds pretty standard. They take the publishing , you take the writer royalties.

Are they splitting Sync Fees 50-50 as well ? Sometimes they don't on Non-Ex.

Sounds good to me. The one other thing you sometimes get is a Blanket Share. I wouldn't expect it from a non-ex though.
