I got a forward for Quote:Y070920INEPIC/DRAMATIC ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) a la NFL Films productions are sought by the Music Supervisor of a major cable TV sports network. Tracks that "move" with energy are important - think marching down a football field, for example. Marching band-type tracks will work, as will tracks that incorporate brass/wind instruments, but all orchestral instrumentation is OK. Watch any NFL Films video/TV show to get a good feel for what is being requested. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. Submissions must be received no later than Sept. 20, 2007. TAXI # Y070920INhttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=58751&stream=true

Although I DID NOT get a forward for Quote:Y070917CSCIRCUS/CAROUSEL/CALLIOPE MUSIC INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) are sought by the Music Supervisor of a major cable TV sports network. They need great tracks that will make it feel like you're actually a carnival or circus. 17, 2007. Kelysian,I use the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Library, commonly referred here as EWQLSO. The Gold version. I found out about it on this forum. I kept getting returns saying that my sounds were a little too synthetic. So I listened to everybody's advice and got EWQLSO. Still having fun with what it lets me do.

Nice job on the epic one. The next purchase I make will be the EWQLSO. I loved the Circus/Carousel/Carnival piece - It just didn't seem to say carnival or even circus to me. I can see haunted carnival or even Cirque du Soleil - but probably not what they were looking for if I had to guess. The only thing that was a bit disquieting about the piece was that it occasionally felt just barely out of time and hesitant. If that was one of the things you were trying to accomplish it worked brilliantly. Again maybe something that didn't quite fit what they were looking for.

Amos,I dug the Battlefield piece, the spicatto strings at the top sound great. I'm a big EWQLSO user myself. The Big Top piece was cool too but was, unfortunately, probably not as cliche' circus music as they were looking for. Your piece might have been a bit too dark but keep it in the catalog as a situation for it may arise sometime in the future. I did a herky-jerky circus piece earlier this year that helped land me a deal so don't discount the off-beat material! (My cut is "Two Left Feet Waltz" at this link if you are interested: http://www.johnmazzei.com/album/11).Keep up the good work!Mazz

Forwarding question

I am new to Taxi and I was wondering; on average how long after you submit your music does it take to get some sort of response? Or at least to get rid of the status saying "Pending"?Thanks all and congrats on the forward you are receiving!

If you mean the time it takes for TAXI to screen your submission and get back to you with either a forward or return message, it's explained in this thread:http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... 1187395026
