I Was forwarded for "The Waiting" to the Y070919MD listing. While that is all good, It left me kind of wondering why the other two I submitted were returned... Anyone care to join in some brainstorming as to the reason why? "Freeway Escape" might suffer from some production issues, but I was really happy with "Focal Point". I know I sometimes get "blind" to apparent problems, so any feedback is welcome. The Waiting:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... rueFreeway Escape:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... =trueFocal Point:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... m=trueNote: I'm not ranting, it's just for my own edification as this listing didn't have critique.

The high end percussion on The Waiting is louder, more hip-hop sounding. All 3 pieces certainly sound like they were made with the same brain. Were they all reviewed by the same screener? That could matter. But without reading the listing info, conjecture is almost moot. Quote:I Was forwarded for "The Waiting" to the Y070919MD listing. You brought up an interesting point, Steve! I just assumed they were all reviewed by the same screener, but it turns out they were not! "The Waiting" and "Freeway Escape" were screened by #259, while "Focal Point" was screened by #258, so in there the answer might be.I certainly hope all tracks were made by the same brain, although I know I sometimes pick the wrong brain getting out of bed in the morning... I should've known better than not to post the listing , here it goes:MEDICAL/SCIENTIFIC DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals) a la TV shows "ER" and "CSI" (and similar shows) are sought by the Music Supervisor of a major cable TV sports network. They're pretty open stylistically, but think of tracks that convey quiet intensity (think Operating Room scenes) to urgency (ambulance/emergency room) to positivity (research/laboratory scenes). Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. For ground submissions, please enclose a S.A.S.E. if you would like a response. Submissions must be received no later than Sept. 19, 2007. TAXI # Y070919MDI also for the first time noticed the Certificates. Cool feature! I will have them printed out and pinned up on the wall for positive affirmation

I think "Freeway Escape" and "Focal Point" are maybe not "close enough to what listing asked for". That would be my best guess.

Mr. Peters, Freeway Express may not be quietly intense enough. It feels more racy than that...pretty intense, but does not have a quiet feel, which is specifically mentioned in the listing. Both the others seem to fit the bill. They are similar, so perhaps the only answer is "different screeners, different brains." Or maybe there are subtle differences in their quiet intensity I did not catch with one listen. Freeway Express, though, is a bit more dramatic than the type the listing calls out, I have a thinking.

Hey u peters,I think The Waiting is perfect for what they were looking for.I think the Freeway Escape was a little too "creepy" sounding although it would really work in an ambulance scene. Focal Point, I feel was the stronger of all the pieces. It had some real nice texture changes, nothing too crazy and then right back into that nice "pad" swell main theme. So I basically have nothing to offer you except praise.

I got one out of three forwarded for this one too. I guess sometimes it's something that tickles the screener's fancy.Congrats on the forward, good stuff
