A listing asked for an original piece:
Venetian Wedding
for this listing:
https://www.taxi.com/listings/S211024GT
the other one is a guitar-classic:
Spanish Romance
for this listing:

I actually messed up the deadlines, so one SUnday I had to record it really fast...

Congrats Walter and nice compositions.
I got one in but the second one was harder and pieces like this there is no punching in/out so I ran out of time.
May I ask what make of guitar and microphone for a gear geek like me?
thanks
good luck

You play beautifully! Your original piece is lovely, and I like your arrangement of the Spanish Romance, too. Congratulations on the forwards, and I hope you get placements for both pieces!

I used my Neumann U87 and the Hanika of my wife. I also tried my Kohno, but it has more high frequencies that don‘t sound as good as the much cheaper Hanika.
The Neumann has NO Eq on it…just reverb and compression.
Actually I did not play the piece in one take, but layered several versions so I could replace notes that weren‘t 100% clean. Also went out of time, so I could notnpractice more…

Bravo! That's what I do, too, on the advice of a Screener: to cut & paste tracks together to get the best notes out of each! I'm so happy you got the forwards, and I hope both the pieces get signed!
