Okay, so I'm just 1 for 1 right now, but it feels good! :D

The Track: Laid Back Motivated
https://www.taxi.com/members/ZOzjDyKETJ ... -motivated

Feedback:
"I like the energy and instrumentation, the track has an engaging swing with a Hip Hop/Jazz vibe that appeals to the listing."

The Listing:
A BUNCH of '90s-Style HIP-HOP INSTRUMENTALS are needed for (up to) $10,000 placements in a hit Show on a MAJOR Television Network! This NEW Music Licensing Company is working directly with the Network to provide them with some great music for upcoming seasons of their hit series!

IMPORTANT: This company is also running a Listing that asks for '90s-Style Hip-Hop SONGS with VOCALS. (TAXI # S250127UW), so please don't confuse the two. This listing is for INSTRUMENTALS only.

This company is searching for a bunch of Instrumentals in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

WARNING: The references may include graphic and explicit lyrics. Listener discretion is advised.

"Ms. Fat Booty" by Mos Def

Although the references provided contain vocals, please submit INSTRUMENTALS ONLY for this opportunity.

Quoting the CEO of the Company: "We're looking for '90s-style hip-hop instrumentals that reflect street hip-hop and backpack hip-hop."

NOTE: You can submit recently recorded/produced tracks that authentically capture the era-appropriate sound and style of the references, OR if you have high-quality vintage recordings from the '90s (give or take a few years), they would love to hear those as well!

Please submit well-crafted Hip-Hop Instrumentals with a distinct '90s-inspired sound and style! This Company is looking for tracks that authentically capture the essence and energy of street Hip-Hop and/or backpack Hip-Hop specifically. Old-school motifs, gritty production, engaging beats, and solid arrangements with a good amount of forward development throughout are all needed. Instrumentation should be era-appropriate and stay in the general ballpark of the references. Please ensure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and have an authentic '90s sound.

All submissions should be between 1.5 and 3 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Era-appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed.

AI ALERT: This company does not accept or sign music that has been melodically composed using generative AI, nor does it accept backing tracks or full instrumental tracks created with AI.

The estimated license fees for these placements are (up to) $10,000, depending on the ultimate use. This Library offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 Deal. You’ll get 50% of any sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. The Publisher will get 50% of the sync fees and 100% of the Publisher’s Share. You’ll keep 100% of the original Copyright and Master Recordings. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit to this pitch. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Monday, January 27th, 2025. TAXI # S250127SA

That's a really nice groove. I guess we're both in the running, I hope one us is successful!

Nice track! Mine was returned essentially because it wasn't 90s enough, which is fair enough--and now that I listen to yours I get it even more. That takes me right back to high school :)

(Yes, I'm dating myself here)

Nice work!
