Pigs might freeze over...

Two different listings worked for me this week. The first took both the songs I submitted ('Better?' and 'You Ate Yourself'). Amusingly, though, the screener appeared to have misheard the hook as 'You Raised Yourself'. Obviously I'm not complaining given that he forwarded it -- perhaps I should think of changing it to that for real!Quote:A wide range of DANCE/ELECTRONICA SONGS are sought by a West Coast-based Management Co. (they rep. a current platinum-selling Rock group) that is starting a new Publishing division. All Electronica styles are OK -- from House to Techno to Trip Hop to Downtempo (and everything in between). They plan to pitch songs to film & TV projects and will offer both exclusive and non-exclusive deals. No instrumentals -- your songs must have vocals. Great performances are essential. Broadcast quality needed (excellent-sounding home recordings are OK). Please submit one to three songs per CD/online, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than June 13, 2007.TAXI # S070613ELThe third forward ('Resistance Is Futile') was a song that I put a lot of work into a while back, but which I'd basically shelved from my set because it was so completely barking mad! I submitted it to this listing just for the hell of it, and I never thought in a million years I'd ever find any application for it. Pigs have officially frozen over.Quote:GOTH ROCK/INDUSTRIAL SONGS (with vocals -- no instrumentals) in the range of Depeche Mode, Siouxsie & the Banshees, the Cure, and Peter Murphy to Nine Inch Nails, Front 242, and KMFDM are needed by the Project Director at a Los Angeles-based Music Library. Amazing vocals, great songwriting, and outstanding production are all essential. Lyrical themes aren't too important, but your writing must be stellar. Bottom line is that they want new material that's going to grab them by the neck and demand their attention. This company is a new division of a very successful Commercial/Advertising House (they've run TAXI listings for years) and needs to ramp up their library. They offer a non-exclusive deal. Broadcast quality needed [great sounding home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than June 14, 2007.TAXI # S070614GRAll of these tracks are still on my Taxi hosting page if anyone wants to hear them.
