Country forward

Post by brianpeet » Wed Jan 13, 2010 6:16 pm

2010 is off to a good start! "The Two of Us", a song I co-wrote with my wife Julie, was forwarded for this listing:

CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS a la SARA EVANS are needed by the VP of A&R at a Major Nashville Label. Mid-to-Uptempo songs are most welcome. As usual, the bottom line is that they need hit songs! Great melodic hooks and lyrics with engaging imagery are a must! They're looking for three more songs to finish the project, so send only your best. Vocal and instrumental demo presentation must be top-notch!

Congrats! Country forwards don't seem to happen around here very often, it's always good to see.
Nice song too!

Awesome track, absolutely dead-on target for genre and ala...

I liked the demo in that it was the perfect amount of music to showcase the melody and lyric - not trying to be the full Nashville cut, but then again way more than just guitar and vocal.

Good luck with this!

Wow - this song is really great! I can hear/see Sara Evans all over this one.Really good sounding demo/recording as well....was
it done by yourself or a pro studio..? Sounds very Nashville, even the demo singer sounds like Sara E.I think this one will get through....Best of Luck !
