Well, I'm pleased about this one.....a departure from my normal stuff into the world of tango....I went through a real love/hate thing with this one. Anyways the listing was:Y090707LATANGO INSTRUMENTALS a la "Por Una Cabeza" on Violin and Strings (the company's request), are wanted by an established and successful Music Publisher in L.A. who has secured tons of great Film/TV placements for many TAXI members. They are not wanting covers of the song referenced above, they are looking for original compositions in the same style as that piece. Performances must sound authentic and need to be exceptional.Piece was "Entre la Vida y la Muerte"http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/1650234Derek

Nice! I really wanted to take this one on for the challenge of something different, too, but just didn't have the time. What's the violin you're using?

Thank you Jeff. It's good to see you getting your tunes through too. Thanks Didger. I like taking on things that I normally wouldn't touch every now and then too. The violin is from East West Gypsy. The rest of the strings are East West Orch Gold.Much appreciated Georgina. The compliment on the strings is very much appreciated. Thank you.Thank you Brindabella. Yea...I almost erased the whole thing when I was about half way through.......I dunno...of course now I luv it......Yep, that be the Gypsy violin.....Derek

Thought so! I just jumped into EWQL for the first time a week ago, buying most of the current packages in one go, but still haven't been able to play a single note. I've followed all the instructions, browsed their forum for answers, but can't get it working as a VST. If only they'd respond to my support request or approve my post to their forum, maybe I'd get my hands on that sound. Grr!

Hey Randin,EWQL is great. I have 9 of their products in my collection. Are you sure your EWQL dll files are in the same folder as your other dll files. Mine are all in a folder called "vstplugins". Within that folder each VST has it separate folder, e.g. "play" for the play VST and then the dll is in that folder. Hope this helps and that you get your EWQL stuff up and running...Derek

Yep, it's in the right plug-ins folder, and shows up as an option in Sonar, but when I try to launch the VST it tells me my installation is missing some components. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired installation, modified installation - all with the latest download from their site. It's still the same every time. Maybe the next step is uninstall, manually clean out the registry, then install again. Cuz truth be told, I did play a couple of notes in Sonar after I installed two or three libraries (but it told me the reverb wouldn't work because of version incompatibility), then installed the rest, then downloaded all the updates, and then it didn't work. So I have seen it at least launch before I got everything installed. I can launch the standalone versions, and spent 2 hours last night getting to know the sounds a bit, which was a nice tease.ANYWAY! Sorry to hijack the thread! Good job on the forward once again!!!
