Dear Super-Talented Friends,I only got 1 of 2 forwarded but I'm happy just the same! YES Ride of the ValkyriesNO Reason not forwarded = "Music"I'm glad the reason not forwarded wasn't related to production quality. " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Eine Kleine TanzmusikThis listing was a wild ride for me because I've never tried anything like this before. The success strategy I used that may be useful to some of you is to submit songs that covered a wide range of possibilities that the client may be asking for. In this case, the goofy retro track didn't make it, but the more current sounding track did. Thanks to everyone who made great suggestions HERE.Expanding Joy,AllenPUBLIC DOMAIN CLASSICAL PIECES a la Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, etc. are needed by an Independent Record Label for a "wacked-out" Classical Box Set project for kids that they are currently working on. This company has signed dozens of TAXI writers for use on projects distributed by Sony/BMG, Universal, EMI, etc. They would like to hear interesting and unusual renditions of classical compositions and are willing to consider almost anything that is off the beaten path. Some examples they gave are jazzed up versions of a Bach Prelude or Fugue (a la Claude Bolling) or a saxophone quartet (with or without a rhythm section) or a rock version of a movement of a Mozart piece. Please Note: They are willing to hear original or non-public domain pieces like Rachmaninoff, but really prefer known composers. If you submit originals, they must be outstanding and have the quirky edge the company is looking for. Master Quality is necessary for this one, though great home recordings should be just fine. Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI and must be received no later than Thursday, April 16, 2009. Congratz, Allen! I also got 1 out of 2, with the same reason: " Music", which I do not understand what it means, I emailed Taxi about that, first time I question a return, do not understand what "music" means. WTG, Wagner!

WTG, Wagner!Wow, congrats to you! brindabella. Tell us about yours. Please-please-please! BTW: I never gave it a second thought about the meaning of "Music" in a Yes/No listing. With only the one box checked like below I just figured the song didn't grab them for any of a multitude of reasons. Since Mozart wrote my piece, I feel like I'm off the hook for this return. Reasons not Forwarded:[ ] Not Master/Broadcast Quality[ ] Vocal Performance[ ] Instrumental Performance[ ] Recording[ ] Stylistically Off Target[x] Music[ ] Lyrics[ ] OtherAllen
