HEY TAXIDERMITES!!Well….after a dismal final quarter to 2008 (which left a REALLY BAD taste in my mouth), I decided to put myself on punishment, and redirect my focus on the music at hand. I did the same thing to myself before I started interacting on the forum back in Sept. of 2007. I told myself that I wasn't gonna’ interact until I had 3 forwards. Over the last coupla’ months, I've managed to get 2, and just received 2 today. So I’m back in business as far as being active on the boards, but still plan to maintain some type of discipline. Gotta’ keep my eyes on the prize. Know what I’m sayin’? Anyways, here are the tunes that got the nod. I double checked all of the links to the music, so if they don't work right away, just keep tryin' until they start to stream. They will, eventually. HIGH ENERGY INSTRUMENTALS FOR EXTREME SPORTS PROGRAMS are needed by an established Production Music Library/Publisher with tons of TAXI signings over the years. Fast paced, exciting, adrenaline-pumping music in styles ranging from Pop/Punk, Hard Rock, Alt Rock, Electro-Rock, Psychobilly, Guitar/Heavy Synth-featured D&B, Industrial Rock, etc. will be considered. No lyrics/vocals for this one, please! Only uptempo tracks will be considered here. Instrumentals that range from :60 to 3 minutes are what's needed, but be prepared to provide shorter edits should the company get in touch with you. Excellent performances that fit the requested mood and broadcast quality recordings are necessary.Radical RageHIGH TENSION/SUSPENSE INSTRUMENTALS for various Film/TV placements are wanted by a very successful Production Music Library who has placements with ABC, CBS, NBC, WB, Disney, Discovery, Lifetime, Fox, USA and more. These instrumentals can be in a variety of styles, but they must sound current and contemporary. If you take an orchestral approach here, it's suggested that it be blended with current-sounding instruments with "edge" - Electronica or Rock elements could be a good choice. These tracks need to be compelling dynamically, without a lot of motive/melodic repetition. Variation and momentum/build will be key for this one! Be absolutely sure that the instrumentation sounds fantastic - this company really doesn't like "bad MIDI". Broadcast quality is necessary, though excellent home recordings should be fine.Lookout!!DRAMATIC INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed and placed tons of TAXI writers/songs over the years. This company will be looking for material that would be great for Feature Films and TV/Radio/Commercials. There are no arrangement or instrumentation restrictions, but the overall tone must be compelling/dynamic and engaging. High drama, emotional pull and climactic build will all be key factors. The performances/production must be excellent and the recordings need to be Broadcast Quality (great home recordings should be fine). Pieces should not exceed 4 min. in length and they need to have clear endings - no fades. On The RunA Decisive Momentibanez468PS – BTW, Congratulations to everyone who’s been able to drum up forward after forward, and deal after deal. Looks like everyone’s workin’ HARD!! All you folks are KICKIN’ MAJOR *SS! I’m tryna’ hang in there with ya! And to my good buddy Chits, you hang in there sweetie. You’re a trooper, BIG TIME! I know you’ll overcome this. I’m sendin’ GOOD VIBES to ya’ all the time. Take care of yourself!! Also, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to all of those who recently turned a year older. Hope y'all had a GOOD one!
