I just had these two songs:http://www.taximusic.com/stream/184896/ ... 3Forwarded to this listing:"ELECTRONICA/CHILLOUT/TRIP HOP SONGS in the range of Zero 7, Thievery Corporation, Morcheeba, Groove Armada, Bent, etc. are wanted by a successful Independent Music Publisher & Record Label that specializes in securing placements for Film/TV/Video Game opportunities. This Publisher has recently signed several TAXI artists/writers and is looking to continue to add to their catalog. They'll be interested in songs that have clear forward momentum and engaging dynamics - not just ambient tones, but rather a motif-driven motion. Lyrically, the tone should be fairly universal as to apply to many different scenarios and opportunities. The sound should be clearly unique and marketable - fresh, unique and cutting edge. You'll need to make sure that your recordings are Broadcast Quality, with no profanity or uncleared samples. Please submit 2-3 songs online or per CD, include PHOTO/BIO so they can get to know the Artists behind the songs. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than January 26, 2009. TAXI #S090126EL"The first song got all 10s, and the second all 9s. This is my first forward so I'm pretty stoked. Question to more experienced Taxi users: If this publisher / label is interested in my music, what can I expect in the way of communication from them? And How soon should I expect it?

Great stuff Cory28. Congrats on the forwards. If the company is interested they will contact you via email or phone.....more likely email. As for the time frame it could be anything from tomorrow to a year or more hence. Best thing is to celebrate the moment then carry on writing and submitting great tracks. Also feel free to submit the same tracks to other opportunities too until they find a home. It seems that this game is a game of numbers. The more tracks you submit, the more forwards you get and greater the chance of a deal coming down the pike. Seems like your off to a great start. Keep writing and submitting. All the bestDerek

Hey Cory, congrats on the forwards. I just wanted to point out that to me you seem to have a really original style. I don't listen to tons of this music but I do listen pretty often and your use of guitars and the way you edit them is pretty creative. Maybe you'll find a niche. Good luck. Elser
