Quick forward

It took me a few days to write and record a song for listing #Y120625RK (French kitschy songs from or inspired by FRENCH Rock artists of the late 1950s and early 1960s a la Jacques Dutronc, Nino Ferrer, Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot, France Gall, or April March). It had been a while since I had written something in French, so that was an occasion to go back to my roots (I used to write French folk/rock songs). I had a blast doing it. I love Jacques Dutronc, so that was my inspiration on this project. I finished recording and mixing the song Sunday night and got a forward the next day! First time it happens so quickly! Cool!
If you want to listen to the song, it’s called “La Pêche aux filles” (“Girl fishing” (!)). For those who don't speak French, lyrics go like this: of all the sports one can practice (verses), "girl fishing" is the only one the character in that song really likes (choruses). Of course, it is written and sung in a way that makes it funny and light rather than crude and offensing (at least, I hope!). Very French!
