I just happened to take a look at my submission history this morning and noticed that one of my pending submissions was no longer in pending. I scanned down and saw that it had been forwarded! Woo Hoo! I didn't get an e-mail about it but I'm not gonna complain. Here's the listing:AAA/ALT ROCK/INDIE POP SONGS WITH VOCALS that sound radio-ready and current are needed by an East Coast Music Library/Publisher for the purpose of Film/TV placements and licensing. This company has signed and placed dozen of TAXI songs, and offers a non-exclusive deal. Songs that have universal lyrics which are general enough to apply to many different scenarios/scenes/plots/etc. will take priority for this one. All approaches and tempos are welcome, but keep in mind that the performances and recordings must be fantastic. Broadcast quality is a must for this one (excellent home recordings should be fine). While all approaches will be considered based on the merits of the song/performance, depressing/melancholy/dark/moody ballads will NOT be the best choice for this listing - the overwhelming majority of these placements will be for TV Commercials/Promos, with a definite possibility for additional Film/TV opportunities. Lyrics must not have profanity and be sure no uncleared samples are anywhere in the song! Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than November 18, 2008.
