ALT ROCK/INDIE POP/DANCE ROCK SONGS in the range of Airborne Toxic Event, Danger Radio, Phantom Planet, etc. are wanted by a successful Music Supervisor who needs to fill out the soundtrack for a Feature Film starring Brandon Routh, Sophia Bush, Jesse Bradford & more. This Music Supe recently placed a TAXI member’s song in a film starring Eva Longoria Parker and Jason Biggs. This film is a romantic comedy revolving around a young man who invites a couple to become his roommates and the disaster that follows. The soundtrack currently features temp tracks by the artists referenced above, so they’ll want to stay in the same vicinity stylistically. Lyrically, songs that speak about love/heartbreak/comedic romance/good times/etc. will hit close to the mark. This is a quirky comedy that will feature songs that are very sweet and romantic, along with songs that are comedic/quirky/”out there”. Nothing too dark or heavy, for this one. Mid to uptempos will be preferable, but the right ballad could find a place as well. Male or female vocals are just fine, but performances must be excellent and recordings need to be Broadcast Quality. A youthful, hip, very current tone is a must and be sure the lyrics have no profanity or uncleared samples. No instrumentals for this one, please! You must own all publishing rights (master/sync) to your song in full and you’ll want to have work-for-hire agreements from any musicians who played on your recording.
