Maybe you could critique this for me
I was expecting a critique on this but didnt get it maybe my taxi peers would critique for me? but the submission did get a fowardcheck it out on my page www.taxi.com/reggiesnd "warscnote1" if taxi send me the critique later I will post itthanks!URBAN/HIP HOP INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a huge Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed tons of TAXI writers over the years. This company is preparing to place music in at least three feature films and also needs material for a variety of film/TV/radio/commercial projects. A variety of stylistic approaches will be considered, but beats should be free of any uncleared samples. It's recommended that the tracks be between :60 and 3 min. in length. This company offers an exclusive deal with a 5-year reversion clause. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than August 8, 2008. TAXI #Y080808HH

The listing says that the submissions will be screened, but the number suggests otherwise. They owe you a critique -- have you checked your submission history on your Taxi page? That's where it would be.Congrats on the forward!!!!!!

TAXI #Y080808HHIf this was a "critiqued" listing and you didn't get a critique, by all means contact Taxi to let them know. Most times it's the culmanation of several critiques that gives us insight into what's working and what isn't but sometimes a single critique can point something out that makes the difference.Congratulations on the forward!Dave

TAXI #Y080808HHEven though it says it will be screened by Taxi it has a Yes/No ID # (Y080808HH). It begins with a "Y" and not an "S". Still, probably best to call Taxi and clear it up.

Re: Maybe you could critique this for me
Hey Reggie,Congrats on the forward....I'm gonna try give it a critique from my end, but listening through a crappy earphone at work, so can't give critique on mix etc....Beginning kinda reminds me of theme to Rocky for some reason - it's got that upbeat Victorious kinda vibe. I'm not 100% keen on the brass ensemble sound (bearing in mind it's a crapy earphone), love the drum beat.Hope you get a nice little contract on this one.Take CareB

Re: Maybe you could critique this for me
sounds good. Congratulations on the forward. I wouldn't mull over it too much since it did get forwarded. The drums sound great. You could switch out some of the other instruments for different synths or samples, but a lot of times in hip-hop you're going for a $10 toy keyboard vibe over some fat drums so I wouldn't mess with it. You may want to add a couple of little variations or little surprise sounds somewhere in there as it gets a bit repetitive especially since there are no lyrics, but since you had some success with it you might just want to leave it alone. Thanks for sharingPeace!
