Nice Ethan, this is a very nice improvement over the first mix, and the first mix was pretty good!. Love that you added bv's to the first chorus, I think the verb on the vocals sounds great!

I'm still confused by the drums, it sounds like the the HH and Ride are both on the right. I always like to mix drums from a drummers perspective so that when I play my air drums it all good :D It does sound like you have the HH honed in, I'd just pan it slightly to the left. I'd also bring up the level of the guitar on the instrumental section at 2:05, and possibly add some delay to it, that would be cool me thinks.

The break before first verse doesn't bother me, and I like the fill before the first chorus much better, I think before you just had the kick playing through, this works much better.

Nice work!
Marc

That sounds like a better answer to the 'up' i was thinking on

It's a beautiful song.
The drums have that Sgt Pepper sound.
Some sparse and simple piano lines introduced later in the arrangement, would sound nice as long as it doesn't clutter up the arrangement.
It sounds original which is a good thing.
I've noticed through time that you have your own sound and that's an important thing when your going after
singer songwriter listings.
I know it's you after the first bar is played. :D

Hey Eeo,
youve got it :)
my opinion is, 2 db vox up mix, why?
because I dont hear the first line of the chorus too clearly in this.
Good luck

Ethan,
I really like the whole vibe of this track. Wonderful tone on everything. Awesome vocals, emotional, captivating.
Don't know what could make this better. Congrats man and good luck with the publisher. I'm sure he/she will love it :)

Thanks Pedro and Kitchensink, appreciate it fellas! In case anyone can stand one more listen I think I have a mix i can live with for a while now, added a slide guitar bit in the instrumental section and adjusted the drums as per Marc's suggestion, drums also groove better.

Thank you all, this is like a group production!

Now we're talkin'...Your voice is now prime-time my friend... 8-)
The mix is night & day...Harrisonesque slide is subtle and awesome sounding...
Listening now , I visualize a complete picture...

It sounds to me, maybe what a 'Badfinger' song might have evolved to...had Pete Ham survived...
Good job...

Good Luck!
All the Best... 8-)

Sweet bro, sounds so excellent Ethan, A+ ! I love the addition of the slide, that section kills now, and that harmony part at 2:23 is very cool! Well, nothing more to say here other than pitch away!!!

Best,
Marc
