CRIME DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS in the style of the underscore for such dramas as CSI and 24, are needed by an East Coast Music Publisher who has secured dozens of Film/TV placements for TAXI writers over the years. He is looking for mysterious and suspenseful styles that "must have a contemporary rhythm section". He'll be looking for shifts in tone, instrumentation and dynamics throughout each piece. He definitely does not want it as hyper-tempo as requested in listing # Y090512ID . He's open to any arrangement or instrumentation, as long as the tone is right. Excellent performances are absolutely necessary. He specifically said he wants to hear tracks that are :60 seconds in length. He doesn't want fadeouts, just clear endings. It has a nice big feel to it.I've been using the Waves S1 Stereo Imager to help create a broader sound horizon on my instrumentals. Do you have any favorites you prefer for this sort of instrumental?GB

For this piece, I used delays quite a bit which bounced the sounds around, and programmed a lot of panning movement into the mix for certain instruments. The orchestra sounds come from EastWest (EWQLSO Platinum xp-pro) and they have a lot of built-in spacial characteristics. And I used a couple of different reverbs for certain instruments. I have to work on music late at night, so the whole thing was tracked and mixed using headphones. I haven't yet heard the piece through room monitors. I always hope for the best when doing it this way, but it involves a lot of guessing.Richard
