Chris,You have the right elements in this track for the genre. Low strings, sixteenth note underpinnings etc.I would like to hear a few more dynamic shifts. I may be even thinking about some transitional "hits'" as the track unfolds. I would sustain the momentum at the end of the track rather than letting it "peter out" Everything seems very tentative with the last few seconds. An effective momentum builder is to modulate up a minor third. This would work well around the :35 mark.Chuck

Thanks for the feedback. I think some sort of root change (up a m3 would work) is a good idea. I currently use the same pedal tone for all :60.

I like it. Very suspenseful... maybe too suspenseful?Seems like I was waiting a long time for something to happen (hits, etc.).Best of luck with it.Derek

Nice piece, some nice sounds! I get the impression they are looking for more of a composed piece of music for this listing, whereas your piece sounds more like background music. I would imagine they want a piece that is more recognisable and memorable?Anyway, it could be longer with more variation.Good work.Colm.

Wow, I like that metallic panning sound U got in the background... very suspenseful...Chris... I think this track is good enough for 1 sub for the listing but I would suggest what I also did...Do another track with alot more shifts, this is just in case they want something more dramatic... cos no one know exactly how much shifts or drama they're looking for, if U know what I mean...So, send this version in but also have another track with alot of drama...I'm only suggesting what I myself did so... up to U in the end of course... but I like this one yea.Kel

Chris,I'm late to this, so listening to your updated version. It would be so much easier to score one of these songs with video to match. If we're going to keep getting these kinds of listings, I think the libraries should give us a sample cue (e.g., "CSI, Episode 49, the scene where they're looking through the garbage, time 00:38:05 - 00:39:15").Anyway, what you have here sounds good. It seems pretty quiet--of course, I can turn up my volume, but you might try bringing instruments a little more in and out of the mix to add some dynamics, if you don't want to guess on where the "hits" should be. You've captured suspense/tension well.Vince

I liked the panned pipes but I think that overall the sound was synth. The sound levels are very low but I suppose the upside is that you have plenty of head room for dynamics.
