My friends have all gone skiing and I did this tonight out of boredom. Acoustic guitar was recorded for me by a very nice Taxi member. The song is obviously called "Angelina" and I got the inspiration from the latest Black Crows album. The song is supposed to be written about a miner missing his ex, but truthfully it is a metaphor for a girl I cannot see anymore but I miss her dearly...................I am just not able to mention it for reasons you can probably guessAnyway, I am not sure if it sucks or not, just thought I'd post it. Mark,I gave 'er a quick listen. I like it, but I'm a sucker for this kind of guit/vox style-genre. Not sure it's great, but it's at least 'good'. The name Angelina sings well I think and I like songs that use proper names .. my personal preference .. sometimes I get sick of singing/writing in the general about 'you' .. lol.Dean

Sounds like a radio chord progression. Is this country? Sounds like a basement demo mix. Or like what i hear at open mics after a middle aged eagles fan has 1 too many long islands. Keep working on it

Mark, Seems the song conveys what you were feeling and trying to express. And you actually pulled off a decent rhyme with Angelina. I kinda figure if you can't say something nice don't say nothing at all. Dave Berdoulay

I liked it better with those cool piano fills. The last line of the chorus seems a bit weak. I really like the melody and the harmony vocal seems really heartfelt. I think it begs for an 80s style power ballad treatment a la "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", rather than the current campfire singalong vibe.
