Hello! I would like some feedback on a piano piece called "Impression". This is also a piece I improvised and put out on YouTube called Classical piano impro a year ago.

What a beautiful piece of work Orest... such an Inspiration man. I just started teaching myself classical piano... just wrote my first piano piece too but nowhere as good as U... Do U have any cool classical pieces to recommend me to learn? I'm very beginner...When listening to Impression, I imagine a very wide n beautiful scene... mountains, clouds, windy, oceans etc...Great piece yea!-Kel

THANKS! Well, I think it's very personal what you like. It's hard to recommend anything without knowing what classical genres you like. I personally love Romantic and Impressionistic music like Chopin, Liszt and Debussy. Their music is not the easiest, but perhaps something with Grieg? Lyrical pieces.. I think this era represents the best classical piano music and it's very good if you want to write for movies and TV.

hie orest!i love piano pieces and this is wonderful!very melodic yet dramatic/serious and playful too at the same time, dammit, wonderful!love it all, love the "you left me hanging" ending.only one comment on the production...and I AM NO PRODUDER/ENGINEER WE ALL KNOW, so take this with a grain...i think i'm hearing just a bit TOO MUCH reverb in this--just a BIT--and not allot--muddy...please feel free to tell me i'm full of crap, no problem, my ears ARE damned good, but we all make mistakes when listening...i love it. perioid. oh, and here's a . (period..LOL)all the best, warren

Hi Orest, I just had a listen and it's gorgeous!Wonderful piano playing and beautiful sounding piano - is that a virtual Steinway or something, or do you own a real one? There's a tiny little noise right at the very end I think, unless it's just my player...?This should do well - Oh Warren, I think the reverb you're hearing is more the pedal actually. There's quite a lot of sustain on it, but that suits the piece. Georgie

Thank you George, yes, it is some sustain on it and I use Akoustik piano with Steinberg. It is in the sample when you lift the pedal you get that "string" sound. I think that makes it more real. And Warren, there is a little reverb as well, and I wanted it to sound like a big orchestra hall or in a church. So you are right as well!

It is very beautiful and well played, Orest. I dont think for the wedding listing, IMO, but it will find a place soon I think.
