That's a tough one Wig. Singer/songwriter perhaps? It's a cool tune, but really hard to label.I'm hearing some clashing going on in the bass between the bass guitar and bass drum it sounds like. Maybe from too much delay? My headphones are admittedly a little bass-heavy so you may not hear it unless the bass is cranked up.Cam

Wig, I like the harmonica in there. I think it is singer-songwriter and maybe Americana, it's got a roosty sound going on. The vocals are kinda bluesy sounding.Andy

Wig,With different production, this could be '60s/'70s retro rock. Probably closest to Americana right now.I heard the same thing as Cam in the bottom end.I'd love to hear the harmonica played more aggressively--it's pretty understated right now.I really like the chorus.Vince

Cam, Andy and Vince,Thanks very much for tuning in on the this one.I agree that the mix is struggling in the bottom end. Honestly, I feel the whole song should be redone. Originally it had a nice tight sound, but I lost the files due to a computer crash. I imported an MP3 of an earlier version and tried to build a mix around that. Probably never a good idea.But, you guys have given me encouragement to do it again.Thanks for that. I'll try to clean up the bottom end and be more aggressive with the harp. I might still keep the dog in there. LOLWig

Nice tune! The harmonica is great! I just wanted to hear a bit more of the acoustic guitars, maybe it's all effects that put them their in the back!Nice voice!

hi wigs--wow, thought this was an instrumental...quite a looonnnggg entry, almost 40 seconds?. . .don't know about that... i like the harmonica, but before the vocal a bit up front/loud to my ears and loudness not in balance...later it's finedid NOT like the strings in the entry though,,,way later it may work, but that is where the hard to classify is coming in for me...if you were to pare down or get rid of the string track, pump up the acoustic guitar, balance the harmonica, i think it's very folk, and has potential. or singer/songwriter as well...for me, just too many conflicting instruments, which makes my head hear conflicting "styles", but hell, might be wrong.oh, you sing this nicely--and that might be another problem with it--TOO SMOOTH, maybe TOO nice...if that makes ANY friggin sense...just my damned ears, and not much talent to back it up...LOL...all the best,warrenoh, ps: is that a dog whining, i looked around a few times and heard a dog, and it wasn't MINE! intentional? hell, i need to listen again now...yes, a crying dog! at 2:39 and around there later...intended?"does your dog bite?"pss: get a voice like gaunce's to sing this, or somebody rougher, older, not as smooth--damn, you did TOO good a job IMHO...LOL...a compliment actually, but i don't hear it for this song. ok i listened twice, broke my own rule...LOL..the bestwarren
