Trying for some fun....
Hi everyone,I'm in the midst of learning PT 8 and have suspended any "serious" musical submissions until I have my new chops together. In the meanwhile, I didn't think it too harmful to use my outdated gear to go for some fun stuff. Nothing serious, just silliness.....The first is called "Squirrel Cop". It's actually the original track for a Tarantella submission I later did on the accordion. The second is called "Where's Mario?"I have a few days before this is due and would appreciate any feedback regarding the mix, etc.www.taxi.com/aldiciccoBest wishes and thanks,AlHAPPY/UPBEAT/FUN INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Production Music Library/Publisher that has signed and placed tons of TAXI writers/songs over the years. This company will be looking for material that would be great for Feature Films and TV/Radio/Commercials. The tone can be quirky and comedic, light and airy, bouncy and silly, etc. Primarily, the focus will be on spare instrumentation that features clever dynamics and melodic "moments". The range is wide here stylistically, with the focus being on the overall tone. Nothing dark, dramatic or moody for this one — only happy and fun. There are no arrangement restrictions here, but be sure the instrumentation isn't too thick or lush.

"Squirrel Cop"Where's Mario?"www.taxi.com/aldiciccoBoth of these songs are full of life. I like them both! The reverb for Squirrel Cop is really-really long but it sounds interesting that way. Have you experimented with a shorter reverb?Allen

Squirrel Cop sounds very quirky and comedic, Where's Mario definitely has that Mario Bros vibe, nice! I think they are both appropriate for the listing, good luck!

Hi Kitz, Allen, Hazineju and Georgie! Thanks for the listens and comments.I'll definitely experiment with the verb level Allen. As Mazz advised in a previous review- they can always add verb later if they really want it... I'm glad you caught the Mario vibe! Although I only played the game once, it must have left a distinct impression on me. All I can remember is having the game controller ripped from my hands.... I gradually regained my senses and have abstained ever since.Best wishes,Al
