Dean,I've used Deb on several of my songs--she is awesome to work with and did a great job on your song here. I especially love her BGVs.The master sounds pretty good. Only thing I heard was the piano could be a little brighter (and wider, maybe). And once or twice I heard some phasing somewhere (organ, perhaps?). The drums could be a bit punchier.I'm curious what genre you'd pitch this on--I'm hearing Motown influence, but straighter...like Carole King maybe?Judging from your list of music friends on your site, you must be the master of collaboration! Sounds like a fun gig.Vince

hey Dean, this is a very "catchy" song for lack of a better word, and that's a good thing. I think a different (more Motown influenced) drum treatment would have made this song stand out. (think of the way Katrina And The Waves used the Motown beat in Walking On Sunshine). That said, it may fit more listings as it is . . . kind of out of my genre here so I'll shut up now!

Hey Dean,This is great!!! She has a great voice!!! I might make the drums a little "meatier" but outa genre so they could be perfect. I can never write an upbeat song that doesn't sound... well you know.... like "Up with People"... this put a smile on my face...Peace, Geo

Vince, thanks. Yep, I love Deb's bvs, too. Thanks for the production input. If our producer changes anything, I'll repost for you guys to hear. Not sure how to pitch yet. Need you guys to give me some ala's .. so thanks for that.Bill, yep 'catchy' is about right I think. Thanks for the Katrina and the Waves idea. (hmmm, never thought about that band name in context with the New Orleans hurricane, until now??)Dave, Alan, Geo .. thanks for the feedback. Dean

Dean,This is really nice. Deb definitely does a great job too. I don't hear anything wrong with the recording. My only question is what genre, as it has a bit of a 60s vibe, but then sometimes it sounds 70s. I'm guessing maybe that was intentional to fit a lot of situations?Cam

Thanks for the feedback Cam. I highly recommend Deb. Not intentially designed for anything .. just designed to be as the producer wanted it to sound. Written that way too. No plan. Just write and produce the best song we could.
